Worried about dental aerosols?
There are concerns that dental procedures which generate aerosols may contribute to spread of diseases like Covid-19. 
However, this latest study shows that the main source of bacteria and viruses present in aerosols are the water from dental equipment, and not saliva!
Even when low levels of the Covid-19 virus were detected in the saliva of asymptomatic patients, the aerosols generated during their procedures showed no signs of the coronavirus. The contents of the spray is similar to what was in the office environment.
In other words, dental procedures during the pandemic are no riskier than a drink of water! Do continue to take care of your oral health and visit your dentist for check ups!
